The arboretum and flowering season
- Check Mustila's flowering updates before choosing a date.
- Specify how long you would like to spend walking.
- List additional Kouvola stops as separate addresses.
Mustila in different seasons
An arboretum is a collection of woody plants with woodland routes. Mustila is best known for rhododendrons and azaleas, but visits are not limited to one flowering season. Summer offers shady paths and collections; autumn brings changing colours and a quieter pace.
Choose a group route and duration suited to the participants in advance. Walking shoes, weather and path conditions matter more than a formal promise to “see the whole park”. If buying plants interests you, separate the retail visit from touring the arboretum and check export rules yourself.
Mustila and rhododendrons
Mustila Arboretum is near Elimäki and known for rhododendrons and azaleas. The operator recommends checking flowering conditions against each season's weather. An autumn walk is a separate visiting option when flowering is no longer the focus.
Mustila Arboretum: trees, woodland paths and blossoms
Mustila is near Elimäki in the Kouvola area. Its attractions include tree collections, woodland paths and rhododendron and azalea plantings. Spring flowers and an autumn walk offer different experiences: choose the season around your group's interests rather than an old photograph.
Not all paths are equally suitable for people with limited mobility. If you need pushchair access, a short walk or frequent rest stops, ask the arboretum about a suitable route. Time for the walk, a Kouvola stop and the return journey must be planned separately.
