In current circumstances, a transfer to/from Helsinki works as follows:
daily departures to Helsinki at 05:00–06:00 for flights from Helsinki Airport after 13:00.
Frequent evening departures at 21:00–23:00 for flights after 05:00–06:00.
At present, we generally collect passengers at specific points: Prospekt Veteranov, Moskovskaya metro, Chyornaya Rechka metro and Begovaya metro. We do not drive around the entire city, preserving passengers' sleep and the driver's energy. With current taxi fares, RUB 300–400 will not break the bank, and the convenience is clear.
From Helsinki:
All arrivals at Vantaa between 12:00 and 19:00 are the best option. Services run every two to three hours.
Departures between 20:00 and midnight are also available, but cost more.
The transfer costs RUB 6,000. If you specifically need pickup from an address or Pulkovo, this is also possible for an extra RUB 1,000; advance payment is now mandatory. Payment is made exclusively on the company's website. We never request transfers to personal bank cards. Please be vigilant about this. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
Our dispatcher will send you a contract. They will also request your passport details, as Finnish law now requires us to do so.
The driver may check documents and residence permit expiry dates at boarding. Please be understanding. The driver is personally responsible for your documents, putting their work visa, and ultimately their job, at risk.
Our border crossing recommendations are based solely on personal experience and the rules officially published by Finland on the Border Guard website. They are for information only.
Overall, these changes are nothing to worry about; there are even advantages, such as no border queues if you depart at the “right” time.
We have all learned to adapt, and journeys to Finland are no exception.
