Water parks in Finland: choosing a destination

Compare specific complexes, their addresses and opening calendars. Distance from the city alone does not determine whether the trip suits your family.

Three different purposes

  • Serena is a separate destination in Espoo.
  • Near Imatra, choose the specific spa complex.
  • Katariina in Kotka is a municipal swimming complex.

Comparing water leisure complexes for your trip

Serena in Espoo offers water slides, children's areas and indoor and outdoor water park facilities. Imatran Kylpylä / Taikametsä and Holiday Club Saimaan Rauha offer water-based leisure near Imatra, each with its own accommodation and conditions. Katariina in Kotka is a municipal swimming complex. These are different kinds of visits, rather than interchangeable names for one service.

For families, start with the children’s ages and interests; for adults, decide whether you want pools, saunas or a longer hotel stay. Then choose the town, specific venue and date. Outdoor areas may be seasonal; check schedules and ticket inclusions with the operator. No health outcome is promised.

Water park, spa or swimming complex

Serena in Espoo, the spa complexes near Imatra and the municipal Uimala Katariina in Kotka offer different leisure experiences. For slides, check the specific attractions; for swimming, check pools and lane availability; for relaxation, check your chosen spa area. Do not assume one complex has the same facilities as another.

First choose the city and consider participants' ages and interests. Around Imatra, it is particularly important to distinguish Imatran Kylpylä from Holiday Club Saimaan Rauha. Once you have checked the calendar, we can discuss arrival, return pickup and other stops; admission tickets and transport are agreed separately.
