Check whether a shared service suits you
- Compare the proposed drop-off point with your final address.
- Check whether bulky luggage can be carried.
- If travelling with your own group, compare terms for a private minivan.
Centre, airport and ferry: clarify the drop-off
Passengers on a shared Helsinki route may have different destinations: the city centre, Vantaa Airport or a ferry terminal. Before choosing a seat, find out whether the required drop-off is included, whether a connection is needed and how this fits your next departure.
Before a confirmed future journey, we agree on the pickup point, contact methods for the dispatcher and driver, luggage and return departure. Notification procedures and times from a previous season are not treated as a mandatory current procedure.
Door-to-door travel or a private vehicle for your group
Your Helsinki address may be a hotel, a friend's apartment or a business destination. For a shared journey, check whether individual address drop-offs are included rather than a single common stop. If passengers have different destinations, give every address when making arrangements.
You can discuss hiring a whole minivan for your own group: your passengers and the driver travel together, with stops set by the shared itinerary. Cabin options seat five to eight passengers depending on class. The whole-vehicle price differs from buying individual seats on a shared service.
To ferries: Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn and Travemünde
For onward sea travel, provide the operator, vessel, date and departure terminal in Helsinki. Finnlines links Helsinki with Travemünde in Germany; Viking Line lists a route to Stockholm via Mariehamn; Tallink operates Helsinki–Tallinn and other Baltic routes. Different operators' ports are not a single drop-off point.
First check your ticket, check-in and terminal address with the ferry company, then discuss the future road journey. A return cruise and a one-way trip have different return plans. An operating ferry does not confirm a transfer from Russia is possible: FiniTrans services across the Finnish border remain suspended.
Arranging a future journey
For your initial enquiry, prepare the purpose of arrival, date, pickup address, passengers and luggage. For a flight or ferry, add departure details. Then agree the format — one seat or the whole vehicle — boarding and drop-off points, price and any return pickup.
Before a confirmed departure, you need the dispatcher’s contact and details of the agreed vehicle and meeting. For a return from an airport or port, provide the arrival time and final Russian address separately. We will discuss current confirmation procedures when services resume; old call and SMS times do not replace arrangements for a new booking.
Final destination and return journey
A hotel, private address, port and Helsinki Airport are different arrival points. Ferry connections require the terminal name and departure details; airport journeys require the flight and date. Add the return address if you leave from somewhere else.
