Travel to Finland and visa requirements

Check visa conditions with official authorities rather than drawing conclusions from old transport service names. FiniTrans does not promise any visa outcome from a trip.

What matters before booking transport

  • Confirm a permitted entry purpose and current requirements.
  • Do not rely on outdated advice about “the right border stamps”.
  • Allow for the suspension of Finland services until the border reopens.

A short trip does not replace checking visa conditions

The website previously used “visa run” to mean a short trip, often without a long stay in the destination country. Distinguish between journey duration, its actual purpose and visa matters. The carrier can discuss only the transport element once a permitted route resumes.

Old recommendations about a required number of passport stamps are not carried into the new text as a rule. If you need to visit family, an airport or a hotel, state that purpose and the full address. Documents and official decisions are checked independently of whether a vehicle can be booked.

Check information for your own circumstances

The number of previous trips and wording in old articles do not give the carrier grounds to promise border admission. Before discussing an international route, obtain current information from the responsible authorities.

The historical search term “visa run”

This URL is preserved for visitors to the old website. No service for obtaining a stamp or changing a permitted stay is offered here. The carrier discusses travel; visa and entry rights require separate checks against official rules.

If you need a route within Russia or to Ivangorod, describe it in your own words: pickup address, destination, passengers and luggage. Continuing in Estonia and meeting partners after crossing independently require separate arrangements. You do not need to submit document copies in the route description form.

Currently serving Russia and Tallinn

Within Russia, any destination from Saint Petersburg. To Ivangorod, the Russian section. To Tallinn, with an independent border crossing and pickup by Estonian partners in Narva.
