What to note about each shop
- Name, town and full address.
- Opening hours for your date, confirmed with the shop itself.
- Expected shopping volume and any additional stops required.
Prisma: a city hypermarket
Prisma is a hypermarket chain. The specific town and selected branch matter for a trip: the chain’s name alone is not an address. Check groceries, household goods and other product categories using the chosen shop’s official information rather than planning a route around an old product list.
A hypermarket visit in Lappeenranta, Imatra or Helsinki takes part of your day. If you also want a city walk or another shop, list stops in order and leave luggage space for your purchases.
Disas, Rajamarket and Laplandia Market
In the former guide, Disas was associated primarily with fish products, Rajamarket with various everyday purchases, and Laplandia Market with a shopping stop in the border area. These names remain as separate search references rather than being combined into a single unnamed store.
Before a future trip, check with the company itself that the branch is operating, along with its address, hours and range. A store being open and cross-border travel being available are separate issues. Information on discounts, tax-free shopping and customs limits from the old text is not used as current terms.
How to fit shopping into your transport route
A list of chosen addresses, group details and approximate luggage volume is enough for a quote. Mention boxes, bulky purchases or several collection points in advance. Transport and waiting time are agreed for the whole route rather than just the number of shops.
IsoKristiina and Galleria shopping centres in Lappeenranta and Helsinki’s city shops are covered on the relevant trip pages. This helps you choose between grocery stops, shopping in the centre and combining shopping with a walk.
Lidl and other grocery stops
Lidl was also mentioned among grocery stops on previous Lappeenranta trips. If you want this chain, choose a branch from its official directory and list the address with the other shops. A grocery stop may be a brief part of a city day or its main purpose — this affects waiting time.
Do not use prices and product ranges from old accounts as a list of expected purchases. Check availability with the shop, and account for bags and boxes when selecting a minivan. The full plan needs every stop and the return meeting point.
Distinguishing branches of the same shop chain
Prisma has different stores in Lappeenranta: Prisma Lappeenranta at Puhakankatu 9–11 and Prisma Lappee at Kaakkoiskaari 22. In Imatra, Prisma is listed at Karhumäenkatu 1. Use the full name and address from the official directory in your itinerary, rather than only the chain's name.
Disas has several outlets, including Mustola in Lappeenranta and Hamina. When checked on 26 October 2026, the operator listed the Imatra and Nuijamaa stores as temporarily closed. Before a future trip, check the relevant branch's page: an old list of locations does not confirm that all of them are open.
For Rajamarket, too, you need a specific store: for example, Rajamarket Imatra is at Tietäjänkatu 1. After choosing addresses, set priorities and assess how much luggage you will have on return. Visiting a store and carrying the purchases are separate issues; goods requirements must be checked separately.
